Sing On

Sing on,

Itinerant bard.

His roaming vocals

Disturb career men.

Free in mind,

Free in body.

They envy his disloyalties.

Sing on,

Itinerant bard.

Strum your tuneless guitar.

Romanticize, fantasize,

Whiles the rest of us

Rage at our jobs.

Sing on,

Itinerant bard.

Gaze at the unbiased horizon.

Laugh at rushing traffic.

Sigh over advertisements.

Always walking your own path.

Sing on,

Itinerant bard.

Don’t scorn us

Or our spare change.

You are the only man amongst us.

We are just lost

In our multifaceted mazes.

Sing on,

We need a human voice.
