The Modern Debate

Mundane is the modern debate,
Consisting of cheap entertainment.
Participants' brains reek,
Of plebeian decay and distraction.
They become fired and passionate,
Over home-runs, trade-offs, and touchdowns.

Death to the modern debate,
Set fire to its fungussed core,
With surging wild heat,
Engulfing rotten underbrush,
To pave the way for new life,
For widened perception,
For vaster consciousness.
