Air Pockets

Air pockets,
Lay inside,
Underground pipes.

Bosomed by the earth,
Restive,
The pipes' fluid flow,
Is interrupted.

Air,
Jets out,
From countless faucets,
Frightening,
Those that thirst.

Hearts skip,
When the hidden fiend,
Makes its hissing appearance,
And then dissipates,
Amongst its forlorn family.
