Heed the beating heart

Heed the pumping heart,

Pulsing with relish,

Within the aged cage.

Beating cries descry a cold cancer blade,

Clasped in corruption’s candy hand,

Alluring, savagely alluring.

Anxious thumping grating gentle offspring,

In dire remonstrations.

They fawn and chirp in new discovery,

Stumbling in infant drunkenness,

Toward seasoned maturity,

To be marred by scar and stubble.

A dance floor awaits,

The transfusing beat erupts,

Suspenseful, joyful,

Shifting intravenous,

Flooding a blessed puncture.
